I recently found a new best friend. Thermomix, many people call it a german maid but for me, I confer it with the title of "Best Friend"
Feeding dinners after work has always been a challenge. I tried tingkat, packing on the way home and food deliveries from food panda/honestbee. Besides paying the higher than usual price, I am more concerned with compromising my children's health by feeding them the more than usual seasonings and less than usual nutrition. I assumed that nutrition is compromised given the way the hawker cooked the food. I always see them cooking food in high heat with some unknown vegetable oil.
Since acquiring this best friend, I become more aware of how cheap it is to make bread, how green vegetables can be with controlled temperature cooking and how soups can be boiled without the need to mend fire.
This best friend allows me to spend less time cleaning kitchen, do prep meals for weekdays' dinners and create new dishes that I once hated due to the blending process (which means the washing of additional attached parts)
I have created this blog to document my cooking journey. I shall continue the updating of it from today onwards. Readership aside, I hope I ll look back at my blog to reminisce these precious memories.
